This is a new (old stock) beauty and a great piece of Solingen history and has a mirror finish blade and a European Mountain Chamois handle with a Red Stag motif on one side of the blade.
The writing on the blade reads: FUNK HIRSCHHORN THUR WALD HANDMADE ROSTFREI SOLINGEN
Made in the mid in the early 1970's
It is in mint unused condition, no dings etc and has not been sharpened and it comes in its original condition and has never been used. The cutting edge is very sharp with one tiny dot mark on the cutting edge which would polish out but we have left it unmolested and in original condition
The handle is made from a complete Mountain Chamois Horn with a beautiful Curl to the handle and ornate cap between the handle and blade.
Specifications:
Blade length 4 inch (approx. 10cm).
Total length: 9 1/4 inches (approx. 23.5cm)
